Electro Zwijsen

Modernizing a 35 year old brand without losing the reputation behind it.

Electro Zwijsen
Introduction

Founded in 1987, Electro Zwijsen is an established Belgian electrical engineering company with decades of experience, hundreds of customers and a team of skilled technical professionals.

When Eureka Creates began working with Electro Zwijsen, the company had built a strong reputation and loyal customer base, but its visual identity and digital presence no longer reflected the business it had become.

The challenge was not to reinvent Electro Zwijsen. Our goal was to modernize the brand, make it feel younger, more approachable and more relevant to a new generation, while preserving the history, professionalism and traditional values that had built its reputation.

The collaboration eventually extended beyond the initial rebranding into social media, content and a long term employer branding and recruitment marketing strategy.

The website featured in this case study was designed approximately five years ago and reflects the digital standards and brand direction of that period. The company’s website, brand and digital presence may have evolved since then.

The Challenge

Bringing a traditional company into a new generation.

Electro Zwijsen had more than 35 years of history behind its name. That heritage was an asset, not something we wanted to erase.

However, its visual identity felt dated, the website needed modernization and the company had very little presence across social media.

At the same time, Electro Zwijsen faced another important business challenge: attracting younger technical talent in an increasingly competitive labour market. Electricians, engineers, calculators and other specialized technical professionals were difficult to recruit, and competition between employers was high.

The challenge became finding the balance between tradition and transformation. Electro Zwijsen needed to look younger, more modern and more engaging without making such drastic changes that the company became unrecognizable to the customers and employees who already knew and trusted the brand.

The Approach

Evolution rather thanreinvention.

The Eureka Creates team began with research into Electro Zwijsen’s business, audience, employees, company culture and history. Through conversations with key stakeholders, we developed a deeper understanding of what needed to remain recognizable and where the brand had room to evolve. Danny Martins, our Founder and Strategy Director, worked with the Eureka Creates team to develop a refreshed direction that maintained the foundations of the existing brand while introducing a younger, more contemporary and more approachable personality. The visual identity was modernized without moving too far from what customers already recognized. The website was redesigned to better showcase Electro Zwijsen’s expertise, services and projects while creating a clearer and more modern browsing experience. The brand was also introduced more consistently across LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, creating a digital presence that could communicate not only what Electro Zwijsen did, but also what it was like to work there.

The Outcome

A refreshed brand that supported the next stage of the business.

The rebranding gave Electro Zwijsen a younger and more contemporary presence while maintaining the recognition and traditional values behind the company. The refreshed visual identity, website and social media presence created a more consistent representation of the business across customer and candidate touchpoints. Over time, the brand also became an important foundation for Electro Zwijsen’s recruitment strategy. Through targeted recruitment campaigns supported by employer branding content, Electro Zwijsen received an average of 30 to 55 applications per month. Depending on the experience required for each position, the campaigns typically helped the company identify a suitable candidate within one to three months.

Electro Zwijsen — outcome 1

FROM VACANCIES TO A CANDIDATE PIPELINE

Consistent employer branding and recruitment campaigns generated 30 to 55 applications per month.

FROM AWARENESS TO HIRING

The strategy moved candidates from discovering Electro Zwijsen to applying, with suitable hires typically identified within 1 to 3 months.

TRADITION, MODERNIZED

A younger and more contemporary identity was created without losing the recognition, history and values behind Electro Zwijsen.

The Bigger Impact

Turning the new brand into a recruitment tool.

Once the stronger brand foundation and digital presence were established, our work expanded into employer branding and recruitment marketing.

Electro Zwijsen operated in a highly competitive technical labour market where finding experienced professionals could take significant time.

Eureka Creates developed targeted social media recruitment campaigns supported by ongoing employer branding content. Rather than relying only on vacancy advertisements, the strategy helped potential candidates understand the company, its people, projects and working environment.

Campaigns targeted profiles including electricians, engineers, calculators and drivers with a category C driving licence. Targeted qualification questions were also used to help Electro Zwijsen identify relevant candidates from the applications generated through the campaigns.
